There's nothing worse than getting a chin rash - a.k.a. make-out burn - from kissing a stubbly dude. It
stings like hell, lasts for days and looks completely mortifying. "To help reduce the inflammation of
irritant dermititis, " says dermatologist Stuart H. Kaplan, using tech-speak for make-out burn,
"apply an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream for five days." If it won't go away, see a doctor. |
|
One way to prevent this terror: Make out with blond guys. Dark hair is coarser and may more easily
cause a rash. Dr. Kaplan also suggests sudsing your irritated chin with antibacterial soap to help
prevent folliculitis, which happens when your hair follicles get infected with bacteria. But as all hair
grows, it becomes tapered and therefore less sandpapery. |
